Fewer surprises at your MOT. Anything we spot can be sorted before the test.

Protect your car's value. A full service history makes your car easier to sell.

The servicing process

  1. Book online or by phone

Choose your service level and book a slot that suits you. Call us on 01903 805222 if you're not sure which service your car needs. No payment required upfront.

  2. Drop off your car

Bring it to us at 74-76 Station Rd, Worthing, BN11 1JY. Leave it with us and we'll call when it's ready. No need to wait around.

  3. We carry out the service

Every item on the service schedule is completed. If we find anything additional that needs attention, we'll call you with a quote before touching it. Nothing gets done without your approval.

  4. Collect with full report

You leave with a written record of everything done, your service book stamped, and a note of anything to watch. We'll contact you when your next one is due.

The right parts and oil for your car

We look up the correct oil grade, torque settings, and service schedule for your specific vehicle. Not an approximation. Not a generic service that fits everything.

Warranty stays valid

Block Exemption means you are entitled to have your car serviced at any competent independent garage. We record everything properly so your warranty is protected.

Honest advice on what your car needs

We'll explain anything we find and what it'll cost, so you can decide what to do.

Quote before anything extra

If we spot something beyond your booked service, we call you with a price before we do anything. Nothing gets added to your bill without your say-so.

Servicing FAQs

Straight answers before you book.

Does my car really need a service?

Regular servicing spots problems early, before they turn into bigger bills, and keeps your car running safely and efficiently.

Will servicing at Auto Empire invalidate my new car warranty?

No. Under Block Exemption Regulations, you can have your car serviced at any competent independent garage without voiding your manufacturer warranty, as long as the service is carried out to the correct specification and with the right parts and fluids. We record everything and stamp your service book.

What's the difference between interim, full, and major?

An interim covers the basics: oil, filters, and safety checks. A full service adds filter replacements and a thorough mechanical inspection. A major service adds brake fluid replacement and a deeper check of timing and electrics. See the full breakdown below.

How long does a service take?

An interim takes around 1.5 to 2 hours. A full service is typically 2.5 to 3 hours. A major service can take up to 4 hours depending on what's found. We'll give you a realistic time estimate when you book.

Do you use genuine parts?

We use OE-quality (Original Equipment) parts that match or exceed manufacturer specification. For most vehicles these are identical to dealership parts, sourced from the same suppliers. We do not use substandard pattern parts.

My service light is on. What should I do?

Book in as soon as you can. The service light is a mileage or time reminder set by the previous service. It doesn't mean something is broken, but it does mean your oil and filters are due for a change. Leaving it too long degrades engine protection.

Do I need a service before my MOT?

Not necessarily, but a service will often catch the things that cause MOT failures: worn wipers, blown bulbs, low tyre tread, brake issues. If you're due both around the same time, booking them together saves you a second trip.

Can you service electric and hybrid vehicles?

Yes. Electric vehicles still need tyre rotations, brake inspections, cabin filters, and fluid checks. Hybrids also require standard oil and filter changes on the combustion side. We'll confirm what your specific model needs when you call.

Do you give a reminder when my next service is due?

Yes. We keep a record of every service we carry out. We'll contact you when your next one is due so you don't have to track it yourself.
